Who are we?
The NSCIBD program is comprised of a dedicated group of clinicians, researchers, educators and allied health professionals who have made it their mission “To improve the lives of patients and families suffering from IBD through the provision of accessible, high quality, patient-centered care” – mission statement NSCIBD program, Oct 2014
Located at the QE II Health Sciences center in the central zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the NSCIBD program is striving to achieve excellence in the delivery of patient-centered, multidisciplinary care for patients suffering from Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
The program strives for excellence in IBD care through innovations in clinical care, education, and research programming that put patients first.

NSCIBD Program development has been made possible through in-kind donations of time and effort of all team members and through financial support from Nova Scotia Health, Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, Doctors Nova Scotia, Central Zone administrators and leaders, the QE II Health Foundation, and through industry partnerships.* Much of the educational content on this website has been co-developed with specialists and allied health care professionals from the NSCIBD program and the University of Saskatchewan Multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Center (MDIBDC) in Saskatoon, SK, Canada (acknowledged by the authorship on each learning module).
